A great man is campaigning to make the world a better place.  If you haven’t heard about KONY 2012 (Invisible Children) yet, then watch this video:

This world-changing feat is one of the most refreshing ideas I’ve heard in a while. For once, someone is doing something about the things that are wrong in the world – and not just his world but the world of thousands of others that he doesn’t even know. This selfless act has been thought through to perfection and, so far, seems to be working.

I heard about this campaign through many Facebook posts and invitations and I believe that the word definitely needs to be spread. So I ask anyone reading this to please watch the video, if you haven’t already, and get Joseph Kony’s face known!

Moving on to the real world

Seeing as I have not yet been spotted as the next big sex journalist, I have taken to job applications over the last month and I am sick of it! Why is it so difficult to find a job? Especially as I want to be on a Graduate Scheme. The fact that if I don’t get a 2:1 out of Uni means I will work in McDonald’s for the rest of my life, but chances are, they have got a degree requirement as well!

Yesterday I had my first telephone interview – terrifying! Being asked ridiculous questions such as “Tell me about a time when you had to interpret data” and “Tell me about a time you had to convince a team member to change their mind”, it’s very easy to get all flustered and tongue-tied. And then the fact that I don’t have a clue how I did, but I only have to wait til Monday to find out! Arrrrggghhhh!

The one job I want the most, if I get through, I will have to make a YouTube video to show my “energy, emphasis and impact”. How silly is that?!

So, after 20 applications, will I get any offers? 4 rejections later, I am still waiting for some good news. What happens if you don’t get what you want in life? What do you do when it all goes tits up and your boyfriend dumps you because you live too far away?

I don’t want to grow up 😦
