Christmas is on the way! HOORAY! Just one week to go and I know everyone is crazy excited. I hope you have all got your gifts and stuff, and maybe even received some already.
Tonight I have been at a “gay party”, as I usually call it. It’s a friend of the family, and every Christmas he hosts these very camp parties which are usually about 80% gay men, 15% straight men and 5% female. They are just brilliant! I have been going to them with my parents and brother since I was about 3 years old. My brother and I used to sit in the front room watching films and occasionally pop into the back room to grab more sausage rolls and satsumas (traditional “gay party” food). Once, Michael Barrymore was there and my Dad ended up having an argument with him – no idea what it was about, but still, claim to fame or what!? Haha!
Not sure what my point was in that little story there – that was just my evening for you. To me, that party is a big part of my Christmas and I’m sure all of you have things alike.
While I’m here, I’m going to show you all my festive nails:
These are my penguin finger nails to go with my penguin outfit that I had for a uni event. One of my housemates gave me a box full of nail varnishes, all with nozzles so you can do tiny detail on the nails. The paints seem quite cheap though as they take a while to dry and the brush part of them is awful. Well worth it if you want to do pictures with lots of detail though.
And then to match:
Snowman/Snowflake toe nails. These were done before I got the nice new varnishes hence why they are less detailed. But oh so jolly 🙂
